The Foundation for Economic Education Awards €3.3 Million in 2018 Grant Round

The supporter of Finnish research on business and economics the Foundation for Economic Education awarded a sum total of 3,31 million euro for 354 recipients in the 2018  grant round, covering 30,7 percent of the applied 10,8 million euro sum total. The greatest emphasis among the focus areas has been placed on digitalization facilitating business and economics, renewal of industries and organizations, and entrepreneurship.

The foundation’s 4 million euro budget for 2018 supports mainly doctoral and post doctoral research, and includes the grant commitments to the Foundations’ Post Doc PoolPost Docs in Companies and the Tutkijat maailmalle -program. The foundation moreover supports the Nuori Yrittäjyys programs teaching entrepreneurship, working skills and financial skills for 7 to 29-year-olds, as well as the Skolar Award pitching competition organized in affiliation with the Slush for young ambitious post docs.

The Foundation for Economic Education’s support for research and education has in recent years been exceptionally abundant. During 2016-2017 the foundation awarded 5,0 million euro total sum to 10 Finnish research universities in business and economics.

The Foundation for Economic Education, founded in 1919, promotes research in business and economics on the university level (thesis and post doctoral studies), and moreover in the universities of applied sciences.
