Frequently asked questions
The timeline for grant decisions varies depending on the application round. The results are published within 1–5 months after the end of the application period. For the Foundation for Economic Education’s grant call (application period 1 June–15 August), the names of grant recipients are published on the Foundation’s website in November–December. Applicants will also be notified of awarded grants by email.
Yes. The applicant’s previous academic background may also be in a field other than business and economics.
No. The Foundation for Economic Education awards personal grants only to researchers who have completed a Master’s degree and are conducting doctoral dissertation research or post-doctoral research.
We only process applications and attachments submitted by the deadline. The referee’s electronic statement remains open for two weeks after the end of the application period.
A full-time grant is intended for full-time research, so it cannot be combined with full-time (100%) paid work. A part-time work or self-employment during the grant period must be reported in the application form. The form includes part-time work in the range of 0–15 hours per week. If the work is not a part-time research position, paid work may account for up to 50% of your working time without the need to notify the Foundation separately.
