Innovations, Commercialisation and Growth

Application period 1 June – 15 August 2026

The thematic special project Innovations, Commercialization, and Growth by the Foundation for Economic Education (Liikesivistysrahasto) is dedicated to advancing areas vital to Finland’s competitive advantage. Through the grants awarded within this special project, the Foundation aims to encourage high-quality research in the field of business and economics on the selected theme.

At the core of the Innovations, Commercialization, and Growth theme are value-based pricing, value creation, productization, and marketing and sales processes—all of which are central to enhancing the competitiveness of Finnish companies.

In enhancing the competitiveness of Finnish companies, commercialization is often related to success in:

  • scaling companies’ business operations, innovation management, manufacturing, services, and business concepts in international markets
  • utilizing digital channels and concepts
  • pricing and sales

In the 2026 call for applications, particular emphasis is placed on the research of pricing and sales management.

Applications for the thematic special project must be submitted via the electronic application system during the grant application period. The applicant responds to questions related to the special project on the application form. Otherwise, applications are assessed according to the general evaluation criteria.

The Foundation for Economic Education determines the number of special projects based on the evaluation of applications. Grant periods may range from one to three years.
