The Researchers Abroad internationalisation programme of the Walter Ahlström Foundation, the Foundation for Economic Education, the Nokia Foundation and the KAUTE Foundation awarded grants to 21 applicants in the 2026 call, for a total amount of €638,350. A total of 135 applications were submitted in the spring 2026 call, resulting in a success rate of 15.5%.

A total of 28 applications were submitted to the Foundation for Economic Education, amounting to €753,580. The awarded grants are allocated to five research visits to foreign universities. In the spring 2026 call, the Foundation for Economic Education awarded a total of €103,000 in grants.

The Researchers Abroad programme offers grants for research in technology and business studies conducted abroad. Its purpose is to support researchers in these fields who seek to carry out ambitious research at high-quality international universities or research institutions. Applicants must hold at least a Master’s degree, but the grant may also be suitable for early-stage postdoctoral researchers. Researchers working in companies are also eligible to apply. The programme is coordinated by the KAUTE Foundation.
