The post doc researcher and business company program PoDoCo grants are open for application from 15 September to 31 October 2026.
The Post Docs in Companies (PoDoCo) is a matchmaking program that supports companies’ long-term competitiveness and strategic renewal while promoting the employment of young doctoral graduates in the private sector. The program is funded jointly by the participating foundations and companies. The foundations provide a research grant for either six months or one year to support the research phase of the project. This is followed by an equally long company-funded phase, during which the research results are applied in practice within the company.
The amount of the full-year grant is 32,000 euros.

PoDoCo program is operated by DIMECC Ltd. On Thursdays from 13 Sep to 22 Oct between 15:00 and 15:30, Dimecc will host a webinar about the application process. The webinar is open without registration via this link.
PoDoCo runs two application rounds each year. The program offers companies an opportunity to benefit from the latest research expertise while providing early-career researchers with a pathway to apply their knowledge to real-world business challenges. The call is open to all Finnish companies and companies operating in Finland, as well as recently graduated doctoral researchers and those who are close to completing their doctorate.
The PoDoCo pool is funded by the Foundation for Technology Promotion (TES), the Foundation for Economic Education (Liikesivistysrahasto), the Jenny and Antti Wihuri Foundation, the KAUTE Foundation, the Association for the Support of Land and Water Technology, and the Swedish Cultural Foundation in Finland (Svenska kulturfonden).
