The Foundations’ Post Doc Pool autumn 2026 grants are open for applications from August 1 to september 31. The pool’s grants are intended for a research period of at least six months abroad following the completion of a doctoral degree. Researchers in business and economics can apply for grants from the Foundation for Economic Education. A post doc grant can cover all costs related to living abroad for the researcher and their family.
Some 1.6 million euro will be awarded in grants.

The results of the application round will be announced in November–December 2026.
The Foundations’ Post Doc Pool is a grant fund established by member foundations of the Finnish Foundation and Fund Association (Säätiöt ja Rahastot ry) to support international mobility of researchers holding a doctoral degree. The call is organised twice a year: the spring round from 1 to 31 January and the autumn round from 15 August to 15 September.
During the period 2025–2027, the Foundations’ Post Doc Pool consists of thirteen foundations contributing a total of €3.2 million annually. The participating foundations are the Ella and Georg Ehrnrooth Foundation, Emil Aaltonen Foundation, Alfred Kordelin Foundation, Foundation for Economic Education (Liikesivistysrahasto), Päivikki and Sakari Sohlberg Foundation, Finnish Academy of Science and Letters, Finnish Cultural Foundation, Finnish Medical Foundation, Svenska Kulturfonden, Society of Swedish Literature in Finland, Foundation for the Advancement of Technology, Jenny and Antti Wihuri Foundation, and Ulla Tuominen Foundation.
