In cooperation with Finnish foundations and funds, the Foundation for Economic Education supports research projects by recently graduated doctoral researchers in companies participating in the Post Docs in Companies pool, as well as research visits by doctoral and postdoctoral researchers through the Researchers Abroad program. It also participates in the Finnish Foundations’ Post Doc Pool.

The Foundations’ Post Doc Pool
The Foundations’ Post Doc Pool (Säätiöiden post doc -pooli) is a grant resource set up by Finnish foundations, all members of the Association of Finnish Foundations, and intended for post-doctoral research abroad. The Pool’s aim is to make Finnish research more international by offering young scholars flexible funding from one source that covers all expenses of a research period abroad for 6 to 24 months, preferably 1 or 2 years.
Säätiöiden post doc -pooli has two application rounds per year: the spring application round in January, and the autumn application round from 1 January to 31 January, and 15 August to 15 September.

PoDoCo
PoDoCo is established to create new jobs for postdocs. The aim of the PoDoCo program is to promote academic research supporting long term competitiveness and strategic renewal of Finnish companies, and the employment of young doctors in industry. PoDoCo brings together doctoral researchers and companies and offers researchers funding for academic research of strategic importance to Finnish companies.
The PoDoCo call is organized twice a year: the spring call from 1 March to 15 April, and the autumn call from 15 September to 31 October.

Researchers Abroad
Researchers Abroad (Tutkijat maailmalle) program provides grants for research in technology and economics abroad. The purpose of the program is to support ambitious technology or economics researchers to conduct research at a high-level foreign university or research institute. Applicants must have at least a master’s degree, but the grant is also suitable for an early-career postdocs. Researchers working in companies can also apply for a grant.
The Researchers Abroad call is organized once a year, from early March to mid-April.
