Grants for the year 2026 can be applied for by individuals, research and working groups, as well as organizations. Applicants may come from outside the field of business and represent new interdisciplinary scientific perspectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The 2025 focus areas <\/strong>emphasize research topics that support business, entrepreneurship, and Finland\u2019s economic growth. In the thematic special initiative \u201cInnovation, Commercialization, and Growth,\u201d applicants can apply for 1\u20133-year grants for business research that promotes the competitiveness of Finnish companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>For three-year research group projects<\/strong>, the Fund seeks PI-led projects that combine strong scientific expertise with the building of international research networks. These multi-year research groups aim to find solutions to current issues that are significant for business and society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Support is also granted within the rules of the <strong>special funds<\/strong> to applicant groups specifically named by donors.
