The Foundation for Economic Education (Liikesivistysrahasto) grant application period is open from June 1 to August 1, 2025. Grants for the year 2026 can be applied for by individuals, research and working groups, as well as organizations. Applicants may come from outside the field of business and represent new interdisciplinary scientific perspectives.
The 2025 focus areas emphasize research topics that support business, entrepreneurship, and Finland’s economic growth. In the thematic special initiative “Innovation, Commercialization, and Growth,” applicants can apply for 1–3-year grants for business research that promotes the competitiveness of Finnish companies.
For three-year research group projects, the Fund seeks PI-led projects that combine strong scientific expertise with the building of international research networks. These multi-year research groups aim to find solutions to current issues that are significant for business and society.
Support is also granted within the rules of the special funds to applicant groups specifically named by donors. The 2025 round includes special fund calls, such as the designated pooled funds “Forest Bioeconomy, Circular Economy, and Clean Transition Value Chains.”
