The Researchers Abroad programme offers grants for research in engineering and business studies conducted abroad. The aim of the programme is to support researchers in engineering or business who are undertaking ambitious research work at a high-quality foreign university or research institute. Applicants must have completed at least a master’s degree, but the grant is also suitable for early-career postdoctoral researchers. Researchers working in companies are also eligible to apply for the grant.
The application period for the grants is open from 2 March to 17 April 2026.
The joint objective of the foundations is to improve the operating conditions of Finnish industry and business by encouraging researchers to pursue international experience and diversified career development in the fields of business and engineering sciences.
