The post doc researcher & business company program PoDoCo grants are open for application from 15 September to 31 October 2025.
The Post Docs in Companies (PoDoCo) program promotes the employment of doctors in companies and improves the ability of the Finnish business community to innovate in the long term. Within the framework of the program, the doctor and the business partner will jointly devise a research project that will open new careers, and the doctor will implement funding from the participating foundations. The total length of the PoDoCo project is 1-2 years and it is divided into two 6-12 month parts. The foundations award a work grant for one or half a year for the research phase, followed by an application phase of the same length funded by the company. The amount of the full-year grant is 32,000 euros.

PoDoCo organizes two rounds of applications each year. The PoDoCo program is open to all Finnish companies or companies doing business in Finland and to all people who have recently completed a dissertation or will be defending their dissertation in the near future. There are 6 foundations and funds in the PoDoCo pool: Finnish Foundation for Technology Promotion, The Foundation for Economic Education, Jenny and Antti Wihuri Foundation, KAUTE Foundation, Maa- ja Vesitekniikantuki ry and Svenska Kulturfonden.
