Oskari Vilamo Fund, a part of the Foundation of Economic Education, is awarding annually the most distinguished theses on the Building Trade from the previous year. In this year, the Fund has awarded three PhD- and eight MSc-theses.
The PhD-prizes of this year have been granted to Dr.(Eng) Marco D´Ignazio from Tampere University of Technology, and Dr.(Eng) Henri Haimi and Dr.(Eng) Kaisa Västilä from Aalto University. The grant numbers 3 500 Euros.
The MSc-prizes of this year have been granted to Mr.(Eng) Tuomas Alapieti, Mr.(Eng) Kalle Aromaa and Ms.(Eng) Kati Blomberg from Aalto University, Ms.(Arch) Elina Jaara from Oulu University, Ms.(Arch) Hanna Jahkonen, Ms.(Eng) Martyna Kainulainen, Mr.(Arch) Robin Landsdorff and Ms.(Eng) Monica Löfman from Aalto University.
The grant numbers 2 000 Euros.
Oskari Vilamo Fund – Developer of Building Trade
Oskari Vilamo Fund belongs to the Foundation of Economic Education. It is named after the Councellor Oskari Vilamo, and its purpose is to further the high-grade study on building branch. In the Anniversary of 75 years in 1985, Lemminkäinen LLC founded a Fund to credit of Councellor Oskari Vilamo, the leading person in the history of the company. The Fund has awarded best theses already from 1993. So far, the Fund has awarded 52 PhD- 20 Licentiate- and 126 MSc-theses, including the awards of today from 2016. The Fund is a special Fund of the Foundation of Economic Education
