Applying for grant

The Foundation for Economic Education’s grants for the research and education in business and economics are open for application from June 1 to August 15, 2025. The call for applications and application instructions will be published on this page during May.

Familiarize yourself with the foundation’s grant focus areas well in advance.

Application Process 

• Application period: from 1 June to 15 August 2025.
• The application and the required attachments are submitted through the electronic application system. 
• The applicant registers as a user in the application system and selects the type of application. 
• The application consists of forms that the applicant can complete in any order they choose,
• The Foundation for Economic Education will decide on the grants by the end of November after the application review process.

Application Attachments and Supervisor’s Statement

• The required attachments include 1. Project Description, 2. Research and Funding Plan, and 3. CV.
  • An interim report (Attachment 4) is also required for continuation applications of the Liikesivistysrahasto grant period.
• A statement from the supervising professor is particularly important for doctoral researchers and early-stage postdoctoral researchers.
• The applicant names the supervisor(s) in the application and is responsible for requesting the electronic reference.
• The supervisor logs into the electronic reference system and and submits the statement by 31 August 2025, at 24:00 (UTC +3).

Important to Note 

• Familiarize yourself with the application forms well in advance. The application can be saved in progress and edited until submission. 
• Indicate in the application any other grants received and pending applications for the same project.  
• Attachments that complement the application forms are essential. Review the attachment requirements early.
• The application, attachments, and supervisor’s statement can be in Finnish or English.
• The application cannot be edited after submission, so carefully check all application details and attachments before submitting. 
• The grant application deadline is 15 August 2025, at 24:00 (+3 UTC).
